ASI Now an Authorized Distributor for USMDI

Press Release

Aircraft Specialties, Inc. of Omaha, NE, is now an authorized distributor for the U.S. Manufacturing & Design, Inc. product line of fluid-transfer products. The U.S. Manufacturing & Design, Inc. products have been supporting the corporate, airline and military industries since 1994.

The primary fluid-transfer products are polyethylene dispensing containers designed to make fluid transfer more efficient. These fluid-transfer containers come in various sizes to meet a client’s specific needs. The containers have proven to be reliable as well as environmentally sound in form, fit and function. The products feature a hand pump designed for ease of use, with extra ports in the pump head allowing the flexibility to convert it from an open system to a closed system. The container's translucent material is another smart feature that grants the operator the ability to view levels at any given time. The material is superior to metal containers which are subject to moisture that can breed harmful contaminants.

When I met with U.S. Manufacturing & Design, Inc.’s CEO, Bob Benson, he spoke with passion about the quality he puts into each unit and the value they provide to the industry.

ASI’s director of sales, Gene Portela, says, “When I met with U.S. Manufacturing & Design, Inc.’s CEO, Bob Benson, he spoke with passion about the quality he puts into each unit and the value they provide to the industry.”

Portela says it was a "no brainer" for ASI to align itself with Benson and his company. Both companies are veteran-owned businesses with similar values. “We have this synergy working for us as well, with our complimentary backgrounds and core principals,” says Portela.

Aircraft Specialties, Inc. is a Part 145 Repair Station. Starting in 1985, it specializes in repairs, overhauls, and exchanges of aircraft wheels and brakes. By adding the USMDI product line, Aircraft Specialties, Inc. continues to diversify and grow outside of its core wheel-and-brake business. Every option it can provide to its clients helps to support its overall goal to become a one-stop solution for aviation needs.
